Current Students, Faculty, Staff, & EOU Partners
Current students, faculty, staff, and EOU partners have physical and online access to all library resources and services. EOU ID cards are required to enter the building after 6:00 PM. Student privileges expire after graduation or once students are no longer registered. Faculty, staff, and EOU partner privileges expire when affiliation with EOU ends.
Retired Faculty & Staff
Retired faculty and staff have access to the physical library during public opening hours. They can continue to borrow EOU materials and use Summit and Interlibrary Loan services using their EOU ID card. Retired faculty and staff do not maintain online access to library databases and resources unless they are faculty emeritus. Faculty Emeritus can request online library access by submitting the Faculty Emeritus Library Access form.
Alumni
EOU graduates have access to the physical library during public opening hours. They can borrow EOU materials by applying for an EOU Alumni Library Card. Alumni do not have access to Summit or free Interlibrary Loan services. EOU Alumni cardholders can borrow up to 10 items at once and make Interlibrary Loan requests at a per-item charge. Alumni do not have remote online access to databases or library resources, but can use online library resources from within the library building on campus.
Community Members & Visitors
Community members and visitors have access to the physical library during public opening hours. They can borrow EOU materials by applying for an Oregon Library Passport card or purchasing a Community Patron card. Oregon Library Passport and Community Patron cardholders can borrow up to 10 items at once and make Interlibrary Loan requests at a per-item charge. Oregon Library Passport and Community Patron cardholders do not have remote online access to databases or library resources, but can use online library resources from within the library building on campus.
Loan Periods
The Circulation Desk will provide the due date information or will renew items over the phone (541-962-3864). Additionally, we will notify you via email when materials you have checked out are overdue. The reminders do not substitute for your knowledge of the due dates. For students, staff, and faculty, the reminders are sent to your EOU email account. Community and Alumni borrowers need to inform the Circulation Desk with any updated email information.
