Strategic Plan

The Library follows the PDSA continuous improvement cycle: Plan, Do, Study, Act. The cycle focuses on identifying a goal or purpose (plan), implementing it (do), analyzing the results and data (study), and then closing the loop, i.e. taking into consideration what is learned to complete the initiative, adjust the goal, or modify the methods for achieving the goal. The cycle is intended to support continuous learning and improvement.

Strategic Priorities

Inclusive User Experience: Foster a culture of inclusion, accessibility, and positive interaction to support people of all backgrounds and abilities. Continuously work to create barrier-free access to services, systems, and spaces.

Information Access: Enhance the discoverability, accessibility, and responsiveness of library collections, both physical and online.

Student Learning: Create and provide multimodal opportunities for student learning, engaging with campus partners to integrate information literacy and student-centered pedagogies into the student learning experience.

Student Success: Provide a variety of support services and opportunities to enrich students’ educational journey. Contribute to institutional goals that reduce barriers and promote holistic success.

Organizational Excellence: Redefine our work practices by emphasizing continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, building an inclusive and equitable workplace, and supporting the professional growth of our faculty and staff.
